Can somebody give me a break down of the membership costs thats per yearly.
Athlete's pay so much to the club but where does that money go? Its not for the track becuase we have to paid an additional fee on top of this.
its not a complaint or picking a fight. Just curious.
Many thanks!

Simeon,
SENIOR FULL MEMBER (over 18) £19
Membership runs from April to March - So if you haven't paid since April your subs are overdue.
Regards,
Aidan.

Aidan I think Si was asking what everybody's membership fees are used for.
I think people on the commitee would be best answering this, but off the top of my head, the entry fee's to all the leagues are expensive, as is the coach travel to take the young athletes to places like Gateshead. THere is also the cost of sending out membership forms, sending coaches on courses etc.
I'm sure somebody else could give you a more detailed analysis, but compared with other sports, I think it's very cheap.

Si,
Sorry I seem to have slightly missed the point. I thought you might have been making the mistake of confusing track fees which are payable to UCLAN and club membership which is entirely separate.
Let me know if you want a copy of the club accounts for last year and you will get an idea of what is involved.
It isn't a question that can be answered very simply. However, the list of things that your membership contributes to include (1) Entry fees for leagues / affiliation to EA (2) Hire of facilities for meetings / training (3) Transport for YA (4) The Harrier (5) Website (6) Coach education (7) Trophies (8) Administration.
At my local cricket club the lads pay £50 subs per year and £5 match fees per match they play in!!!
Aidan.

gutted! come back feeling fit and fast again and can't turn out for the team. Blackburn will be happy, as they know I can guarantee wins in the 100m and 200m! lol
