I would just like to say a big THANK YOU to EVERYONE who competed in the senior league this season, especially those who put themselves out for the club on several occasions just so we could earn a few extra points.
We have made a big improvement on prior seasons and that is down to the dedication of some of our athletes. If more athletes show the dedication to the club which many athletes this season have, then next year we can be in the same situation with the chance of being promoted.
Thank you for a good season Hayley Billington

Yea well done to all those that turned out for us. However, saturday could have been a different story. No offence to anyone who turned up and put their all into it but if we had put out our strongest team yesterday we could have won that comfortably.
Its ridiculous, people knew about the playoffs weeks in advance yet somehow still managed to find the weakest excuses to avoid giving something back to a club that has done so much for them!
Im not targeting individuals as some people had genuine reasons why they couldnt come, but if your team manager asks you if your available and you tell them yes then dont ring them two days before telling them that all of a sudden you just remembered you had a job or a vets appointment or something else so trivial.
We counted ten people who had dropped out from the team with less than 2 days notice.
We came so far from where we were last season, struggling to stay in div 2, and when we had the chance to secure some better competition for everyone people didnt want to know!
I just hope that next season more people realise that we could, and should be in div 1 at least, and get off their backsides and turn out for their club! I know i will.
To end on a brighter note, thanks to Hayley and Bob for doing a great job sorting out the team, and always doing their best to plug the gaps in team lists! Overall i think its been a good season for us as a club!

4th! no way! how did we not smoke Blackburn!?? Well..congrats to all you guys that did the Preston vest pride.
I just wish I could have been there! Not being eligible to compete in the sprints is worst then then havin any injury!
Your right Andy.. next year..we are gonna rack up those points big time, so by time it comes to another play off..we will be so far ahead we could miss the event and still win!
who won the 100m and 200m senior sprint events?

Thanks andy. Its good to see that there are, some people that care about the club.
Its a little disappointing after all the effort everyone put in throughout the season. That people let us down when it actually mattered. I think that we are lacking a bit of team spirit, which could be seen especially on the last day. Those who were there put everything into the day, volunteering for events no-one would of expected them to do, but did it for the team. Its a shame the athletes who specialise in these evnts didn't show up for the club.
Like i said earlier i think we have made a huge improvement on last year, but if people want the better competition, they need to help by competing to get us there!

Nothing personal Hayley but sounds like your attacking indviduals for not being there? if not.. my apologies.. I know message boards are not a place to cause arguments.
Maybe this is a good point to low team spirit? I'm sure that we should congrat those that where there and did the club proud, they deserve their recognition. I'm sure that those that couldn't be there have a vaild excuse (like myself) or injury keep them out of the competition?!
Alot of people have left Preston Harriers for a higher pedigree club, which has left our club down to a small group of talented athletes and new young stars that have yet to try out their first event.
Best thing to do is to get up & dust ourselves down.. look ahead for the 2008 season and make a real go of it. I know I will be.

No i'm not attacking people for not being there. And have said that i am very pleased with the team this season. As there are many athletes who have put everything into it. I just think its a shame that these athletes are let down.
And want people to recognise that to be a team, we need to pull together and help each other. So that as a club we can progress.

hello there i spoke with both sy and hayley yesterday, sy its all good my friend hayley wasnt attacking us that were ineligible to compete. Te nite before the competition quite a few athletes dropped out for silly excuses, i understand hayleys frustation, perhaps if those unamed athletes did compete we might of got promoted! We should all be striving together as a team! Teamwork people! Its vital for our succesion! .x.

No problem Hayley, at the end of the day i just want to see my club be the best it can be ant fulfil its potential and thats not division 2wc as far as im concerned!! Its not the best note to end the season on but it had to be said!
I mean i did 5 events on saturday, the max for an u20, i then drove for about 5 hours to london for the under 20 inter territorial and i was so tired and sore from saturday that i produced my worst performance EVER! But i wasn't really bothered because i knew id done all i could to help my club!
