Just a message of Good Luck to Dave Preston who is running for England Fire Service on Sunday in the Bath Half Marathon.
Since joining us from Wesham last year, Dave has made enormous improvement and recently ran 1.25.56 at the Great Cumbrian Half, coming 2nd M50.
You deserve to run well - have a good one

No offence intended. That's the only David Preston I found in the results.

Sorry, I'm not saying 2:02:30 is wrong, although Dave is running alot better than that. I was having a dig at Anne for saying he's running better now he's left Wesham!! (1:40:13 was his best time during 2005) (during his Wesham era!!)...no offence on my part either.....just a tongue in cheek comment. Geddit now?

No problem. I'm a bit detached from the club's comings and goings living over here.
I will ask Anne to start providing me with a weekly update. She could have her own gossip social column. ;D

Me - gossip? I dont know what the word means! Cant think where you got that idea from Rick! Anyhow back to Dave's result - it wasnt Bath, it was Salisbury - dont think Dave's geography is too good. Anyhow, he won! He was 1st Fireman in 1.28 and got a big trophy. It was a difficult course so he ran brilliantly. I only wrote that about Dave leaving Wesham to see if any members of Wesham read our board - will we get an influx of Wesham runners now all thinking they will improve their times cos Dave has?

All of our ladies are quiet & unassuming apart from Sweeney. Details for joining are to be found at www.prestonharriers.net/new_page_1.htmIt's £17.00 for adults. Why not join, but beware of quiet unassuming ladies, they will always beat you. One way or another. Happy Birthday Martin.
