Did you hear that Preston Harrier Fell Runners had made it onto the BBC? No it wasn't a stand up comedy programme, or a programme about rehabilitating reprobates, reformant alcohol abusers, or general layabouts. It was a country life programme! A couple of tuesdays ago, a young Scottish reporter met up with the gang at Fell Foot Farm & heavily breathed her way through interviewing some of the lads on the way up Parlick . Mick Mac, Joe Howard & Barry Nuttall can be heard on the programme. This devilish thing, the internet, now enables you to hear programmes you recently missed. Eddy Stewart kindly sent me details of how to listen to the programme, which I take the liberty of copying here. For those who are unsure how to do this go to www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/radioscotland. At the top right hand corner you will find a bullet point "listen here again". Click on this and then scroll down the A-Z of all shows until you come to "Out of Doors". Click on this and you can play the whole programme again.I might add that there is a facility for fast forwarding at the top left hand side. I didn't see it, so listened to the whole programme. I now know to watch out for wolves in Scotland!
