Hi Rick The entry fee this year is a very reasonable £38.00 and next year they are only putting it up by £4.00. Not only that but for an astonishingly cheap price of £30.00 - (tho I've also heard it is £80.00) you can guarantee an entry for 3 years (of course you have to pay the entry fee each year on top of that! Still it is a bargain when you consider that charities have to pay £55.00 per entry - but then again they can secure extra places by agreeing to enter participants in other events run by the same Brendan Foster Retirement Fund Company like the Great South Run in Portsmouth. I'm sure people in the Lancashire & South Cumbrian (where our supporters are based) area dont mind travelling to. So all in all well worth a trip from Oregon?Portland to take part - if not in the elite race you might even be able to walk for the first 3 miles!

That's $76.00!! or possibly even more the way the exchange rate is going. I thought the Portland Marathon was a bit of a rip-off at $90.00 ($150.00 late entry). It was won in 2:25 so it's safe to assume there's not much in the way of prize money
...and £30.00 for a guaranteed entry. Long gone are the days when Vince collected the entries and fees and gave them to his mate who worked for the council up there. We didn't even have to meet the closing date. ;D
