Thanks Anne. I did set myself a 3 hour target and was on for it up to mile 22 then things got a bit blurred. Temps got too high for me at 17degrees and the hills definately took their toll. I'm happy to be uninjured and raring to go. It was a great day for me and my family as my brother completed the race as well. Well done to Helen Boyer & Phil Lakeland. Are up for 10 in 10- NXT year?! Anybody?

Well Done, Neil - there is a picture of you on the main Brathay site, as you come in. Not sure about 10 in 10! Phil got a time of 4:38.37 and Helen 4:47.39. Great effort and I know that all put in a lot of training and you should all have a well deserved rest, as Anne has said. Well done too to Martin Bates @ Wesham for his run at 3:36.42 and to all those from Wesham who ran too. It was a warm day and we kept thinking about you all.

Right - having been too upset until now to be able to reply to Martin Bates re my spelling mistake - if there is one thing that I pride myself on is spelling and then for me to make to get it wrong - I was horrified and can only apologise to the residents of Windermere. Maybe I should run it next year to atone for my mistake! Thank you for bringing it to my attention. Hope you enjoyed the match Martin - the goals were great. Having lived in Cleveleys in my formative years and being born in the road before Christie Park, I'm so pleased for Lancashire teams. Perhaps we could have a competitive relay between Preston & Wesham on the day of one of the Derby matches

Good idea Anne (didn't know you used to live in Cleveleys!)
Was it you that put the banner over the Motorway Bridge just before Broughton? (Dream on Donkey Lashers!)
(made me smile!)
