If you get low on motivation on dark wet winter nights and don't mind an hour on the roads ( sometimes paths and bits off road) then you might consider this.
It is a series of 10 events but you could just go to some, 5 to count for prizes. It is a score event- run for one hour, get as many points as you can, navigate witha very basic but accurate map, penalties if late back. Control to find are lamp post numbers etc. Other than your normal gear you just need a head torch, high vis top and pen. Costs £1 Most start and finish at a pub.
