Since Alan wont see this (he doesnt have a pc) I just wanted to tell everyone how this week at Horwich, not only did he win his age category ALL week, finishing 10 full mins ahead of the next 60 year old, but he broke the course record on at least 3 evenings! He is so generous with his time, helping the juniors - he was still at the track helping them on Tues night before the 1st race at 6.30pm! He trains with Sharon and myself always doing what we want to do - he is just so selfless (Mind you he has taken to beating me now in races instead of staying with me!) Perhaps his laid back approach to the point of being comatose works! Anyhow, this weeks results were amazing considering he had won O60s at Freckleton last Sunday, had been training with Sharon on Tues am before helping the juniors & then going to Horwich. What a hero! Congratulations and so well deserved!

Just like to endorse Anne's comments even though I should be bitter and hacked off. Beat him at the Inter Club at Stanley Park, must have been saving himself!

Well, Alan is not totally unused to "modern methods of comunication" - he does have access to a PC, it`s just that he needs "guidance" in what to do and not cause the whole thing to crash or behave irrationally. He does have a little used e-mail address! (ie one is not likely to get a reply...)
Alan had a superb tour as Anne rightly says, coming right after the Freck half. He is running well and is a true stalwart of this Club and is rightly very appreciated by all who come into contact with him.
