Once the fog cleared it was quite warm. The race was one lap of the local motor racing circuit - 2 miles.

A 2 mile circuit. There are photos hereBack on subject (sort of). I ran on Wednesday and felt my calf go tight after 1.5 miles for I actually took my own advice and jogged/walked home. Yesterday I had planned to race 6 miles but ended up doing the 3 mile walk with Judy. All this common sense has come about 30 years too late! ;D

My training is going good. I got up at 6:15 AM, drove downtown to an Irish pub, watched Liverpool beat Newcastle 3-0 while eating an Irish breakfast with real bacon, heard Man U. had been knocked out of the Cup, came home to find PNE had won at Charlton, had a nap and have just found out Barnsley beat Chelsea. Days don't get much beter than this and it's only 1:30 PM. ;D I'm trying my injury out tomorrow.

8.5 miles on forest trails. The people I ran with are ultra runners who had done 15 on Saturday so it was quite leisurely. It has stiffened a little today but as it's basically a muscle injury I don't think the run did it much harm. Now the question is - should I do the Shamrock 15K next Sunday? It's a big event here with 5K and 8K options.
How's your training/injury going?
