For a number of weeks now questions have been asked of me as to if I would be taking part in a road race whilst on my honeymoon, with several harriers believing I did not have the bottle to suggest such a thing!
Well shame on you, after several long hours of careful discussion and negotiation I am pleased to announce that I have reached agreement and I will be taking part in the Tantalus 10 Miler on Sunday the 26th October.
The race which starts at 6.30am is described as “A very hilly loop on the road around Mount Tantalus. Five steep miles up and five steep miles down with great views.”
Not sure which bit I am not looking forward to most, the steep uphill, the 6.30 start or the fact that I have told Hannah it is only a 3 mile fun run which starts at lunch time ;D
