Perhaps all members need to know the club constitution so that they understand procedures for the AGM. The constitution should be published on the web site. So whoever is responsible please can we have the constitution on the web site.

I'm pretty sure Pete Hancock has the latest version.
Pete. Could you paste it into this thread please. If it's too big for one message, paste it in 2 or more parts.
Thanks!

I have sent Chris a copy to put on the website. Essentially, nominations can be made on the night. Pete H

The Constitution is plainly where PH says. As I said in the Harrier, please let us get on with supporting our present committee, especially through this our very special year. I have suggested that we market some tee shirts or sweat shirts for the 125th, & Alan Appleby, our senior sales promotion manager has suggested a special mug. It is difficult to know how many of these products would be sold. Any ideas of how to promote them? Could we take a deposit on the strength of a purchase? Then we would have a clue how many to order. There are over 500 members. Surely a couple of hundred would be pleased to wear a commemorative tee shirt? My point is that we need to order them soon, and get wearing them, in order to promote our special year in the town, and even as far afield as Riley Green. PH I'm sure would lead us in wearing a sweat shirt, & I'll bet that Guestx2 would be proud to follow!

Thanks Bob it is now where PH said it was, but it wasn't when I made the comment, however I took off my sunglasses when I came home from work and lo and behold it was there . I would be very proud to wear a tee shirt and will put in an order right now for 1 mug and 1 tee shirt, large mug, medium tee shirt. I would also like a pack of those postcards for which I will pay £10. So come on you lot place your orders.

The April Harrier is now available on line. The magazine is at the printer's. There is plenty of support & gratitude to Helen for her fabulous efforts in Melbourne. Also in this issue there is an article by Steve Smith, World Champion! no less, (page 18) if you want to read it on line. There is also an article & loads of pictures from last weekend when some of our gang ran for Lancashire. (page 10 & 11) Well done to the team. there are several of the usual derogatory remarks about Sweeney. (page 22) The ever unpopular Harrier Hearsay is back, this time rambling on about bunny girls. (page 17) The Interactive button is alongside the pages with further or late info. eg Steve Smith tried his best to get me a picture of his gold medal performance in Austria, but it arrived just after the mag had gone to the printer's. Hence the Interactive button will show you Steve on the Rostrum with a gold medallion around his neck, he looks pretty cool! (not quite Tom Jones ) but Steve's only V45, not V70 with undergrowth coming out of his shirt, like old Tom. Old Tom? Isn't that a winter warmer strong ale Rick? www.prestonharriers.com/harrier_magazine.htm

Brewed by Robinsons. I tried a few pints of Boddingtons' winter warmer ale after during a Harriers night out in Ribbleton Lane during the mid-70's. I think I had 3, possibly 4 pints and ended up crawling out of the back of Mike Gilbert's (Ex-Harrier: International Orienteer, BG Round, placed in the KIMM elite, long fell running specialist and Real Ale aficionado) minivan on all-fours. I have never had a desire to repeat the experience and have been hepled in this quest by the fact that Boddingtons started to sell the Winter Warmer only in 1/2s and minivans are no longer in production. Winter ales are very popular in the Pacific Northwest but I am still very wary of them.

The Harrier will have been read by everybody by now. Steve Mort has done a brilliant job with this his first issue. More race reports than before, very up to date and thank goodness, no Alan Appleby Jokes! Well done Steve.
