Not a single male fell runner was prepared to run Kentmere Horseshoe!
Most said it was too hot.
Well 150 of us ran it and had a great time - it was hot and lying in the river was very welcome at the end

From your remarks I presume you mean that no Preston Harriers' men ran? The truth is that you are correct, we are wimps. On Saturday Joe & me & our partners went to Waugh's Well for a poetry recital, you can see it on www.prestonharriers.com/waugh's_well_gathering_2006.htm On Sunday I was doing my washing and ironing for my forthcoming holidays!
