A big thank you and well done to all the athletes who competed today at the first sportshall meeting.
There were team victories for the under 13 girls and also for the under 15 girls.
The under 13 boys team consisted of two athletes however managed to come second due to excellent all round performances from Dougie Ashcroft & Curtis Mitchell.
Curtis was named athlete of the match together with Kati Williams in the u 15 girls.
With many athletes experiencing sportshall for the first time the team performed marvelously pushing reigning champions Blackpool all the way. Unfortunately Blackpool's experience told in the end and we had to be content with second place.
Special thanks to the track officials Aiden Lupton, Dave Tate, Kris Williams & Linda Evans. Extra special thanks to Hannah Lupton and Alix Morley for their help in organising the teams before field officiating all day.
The second of the three fixtures is in January, watch out for sportshall specific training sessions coming soon.

Happy New Year to all.
The next Sportshall fixture is at Blackpool Sports Centre on Sunday 18th January. We are currently lieing second overall and need everyone who competed last time together with a few extra to push on for the title.
With 3 - 4 more u13 boys and the same from the u 15 boys I'm positive we can catch and overtake Blackpool.
Entry forms are available from the sportshall page. Age groups are based on last year's Summer age groups.
The Lancashire squad will be chosen over the next two meetings and with the quality available at Preston I expect the squad to be heavy with Harriers. Don't miss out on your chance to represent your county.
Please get in touch if you require any further details.
