Update from Nick Hume at Blackpool Wyre & Flyde re the first InterClub on 8th April....
All
Just a reminder that the 2009 Inter Club season commences on Wed 8th
April at Blackpool with parking at Blackpool Cricket Club which is
adjacent to the start and finish. Refreshments wil be available in the
Cricket Club afterwards and the Presentation of the 2008 awards. Please
note changing is very limited but the Sports Centre could be used but
an entrance fee will be charged.
I am sure it will be another competitive but friendly season and look
forward t seeing you all on 8th April.
Please note that the START TIME is 19.00

An excellent start, with first place in the open, vets and 3rd (only by one point from 2nd) in ladies! A good turn out and hope that those who ran in their first one will return...well done to all.

Great to see so many of our vests out on the night! Enjoyed the social side of things to, catching up with everybody.
What are we doing for food at our inter-club race?

We`re providing sandwiches, etc at our event on Wed 10th June....so if anybody wants to volunteer to help in that provision then please see Alan Appleby or Steve Jackson; we`ll also need marshals out on the course, car park handlers and finish funnel organisers, so again if anybody wants to help.....

Help is wanted for our hosted InterClub on Wed 10th June 2009...please come forward and offer to help marshal, direct cars, manage the funnel, etc etc. No offers of help thus far!
And as advance warning, this is the last year that Alan and I will be dealing with the organising of the event

Cheers Neil, so much appreciated. Spoke to Dave Watson at track last night and we`ll go through all this at a later date, and Alan & I won`t be far away with help / what to do. Most of the work is in the "planning!" Thank you to those offering to help with "butties" etc, and car parking duties appreciated. We look to have an issue with not being able to use all the car parks - more news soon. Having run the route, last Saturday am, don`t think there is much we can do to remove the flooding near the play area - hope it stays dry for a spell - although the trees alongside Penwortham Holme are not as low this year!
