taken from Mid Lancs website:
Latest information - Thursday at 9.55PM - is that the replacement cage netting at Bolton has arrived, the cage has been roped tonight and the netting should be hung on Saturday morning. On that basis, discus should be OK on Saturday; but we will need to be satisfied that it is suitable for the hammer. Hopefully, everything will be OK on the day!

The remaining Mid Lancs League meeting is at Litherland this Saturday 8th August. Please note there is no stand at Litherland. Both the male and female teams are near the top of the leagues with the male team having a possible chance of finishing top. Could all athletes who have not yet competed this season either report to me before 12.30 on Saturday or see me at the track tonight. Could all under 13 & 15 athletes report to me before 12.30 with details of the events they would like to enter. Please remember to bring your numbers and safety pins. We are short of officials for this meeting, please could any volunteers give me a shout.

If team captains are required at the Medal Meeting they will be:
Kingsley Judd for the Men &
Lydia Williams & Mia Aguello for the Ladies.
The above athletes all attended 4 fixtures and produced good point returns towards the team scores.

Could all athletes please note that the medal meeting starts an hour earlier than the league meetings at 11 am for the hammer and 12 noon for track and other field events. www.midlancs.org.uk/medalentryform09.pdfThere is also a football match next door (Wigan v Man Utd 3pm k.o.) which may affect parking and traveling times.
