Senior League 2009

Hi Guys,

I would like to say well done to all those who competed today. Everybody who turned out were fantastic and put in a brilliant effort. A special thanks goes to those athletes who offered to fill events which were not their usual event which gained the club valuable points. In particular David Rigby who ran in any event spare and a tired Lucy Sumner (by the end of the day), who again filled in 3 events to gain extra points.
Also a thanks to the officials who gave up their time to help.

On the day we came 5th only 7 points behind 4th.
However if we have we have the level of dedication and effort we had last year in helping us gain promotion, 2nd/3rd will be our lowest expectation. So lets look forward to the next senior league (6th June) and i am full of confidence we will show ourselves for the club we are.

Hi all.

The 2nd meeting at blackburn was much better, with preston finishing 3rd. Thy finished 2 points above fourth place, so thank you to all the gutsy performances throughout the day but especially towards the end to pull us back up.

Overall this has left us in fourth place in the league, on 6 points.
We need to keep this momemtum goin to ensure that we keep our place in division 1.

Just a quick note, if people are not going to show up on the day, please can they take into consideration all the athletes who are working so hard to keep us in the divsion, filling in events they are not specialized in. They try so hard and don't deserve to be let down.

Great effort by every one in the senior league yesterday, we came 3rd and have also moved up to 3rd in the league. next league fixture is 2nd August at Preston, we need another good turn out to make sure we stay in the top division.

Hi all.

Just wanted to say well done for all your efforts yesterday.
I think the club really pulled together and showed what a good group of ahtletes we have at Preston.

After our first season in Division 1 we finished 3rd overall.
Which means we will remain in that league for next year.
On the final day we came 2nd overall, not far from taking the win from blackburn. This shows that we can challenge the best teams at a senior level and need to keep this going.
