www.ukresults.net/10jul.html#blackburnPlease see link to the Pennine Lancashire 5K, which is starting on the road just above Witton, running in to town and back, finishing on the road in Witton. It is also the EA 5K Champs and the NoE 5K Champs. Hopefully Presston will be bringing teams along to contest these Championships. The route will be quick - quicker than the old one - there's only 2 turns to negotiate. Completely traffic free and cheap at just £5 I hope to see a few of you there. Richard

www.ukresults.net/2010/penn5k.htmlFull Entry list is now up on John Schofield's site plus other back up info. Important Points. Numbers are to be collected from the Track Side cabin at Witton. It is around 700m from the track side cabin to the race start, so please allow plenty of time, especially as there is a 2000 runner 10K on at the time and you may find your direct route isn't as easy as normal. Best access is from Junction 3 of the M65 - just drive in to Blackburn until you reach the marshalls who will direct you to the event parking. Presentation - we have 4 elements of the event to give awards for, so due to the amount of scrutiny that may be rquired in each set of results we will start at 12:30 and present in this order. Pennine 5K International Challenge EA Champs NA Champs There aren't team awards for the Pennine 5K - this is done through the other 3 elements of the event. We have decided to recognise VETS and Juniors though. We will give a cash prize to First Male (40+) and Female (35+) VETs and also to the First Male and Female Juniors (U18 on day of race)
