I've taken the liberty of putting this on the message board. It will be a great event, lots of fun. It's only running up the hill so no one need worry about falling!
Longridge Fell Uphill Time Trial
Date: Tue. 10th July
Venue: Car Park at Cardwell House (Jeffrey Hill) GR 640401
Not the usual training car park.
Time: Registration from 6.00 – 6.45pm
Route: 0.9 miles/582 feet climb
Start GR 657417 to Finish at Summit Cairn GR 657410
Checkpoint at wall/path junction GR 654409
Entry fee: £1. All returned as prizes.
How it Works: A time trial with interval starts every 15secs.
At registration estimate your finish time. No watches to be taken on the race. Winner is the runner with the nearest actual time to estimated time.
There is 1.8 miles warm up run to start and 1.3 miles warm down from finish to car park.
Presentation: Corporation Arms, Longridge
Sandwiches & Chips £4 (pay to me at registration)
Pre Entry: It would be a big help if runners could email me with their estimated time during the weekend before. There will be no commitment to pay an entry fee unless you turn up to run. This will save time with computer data entry and issuing race numbers on the night.
