Hello i am 26 and already a member of preston harriers and was wondering if i would be able to have a go at some track running. I have generally doing road running in the past and just fancied having a go at something different. Im not sure what distance i would like to try yet or if im fast enough for that matter but i would be greatful for any repilies.

If you want to get straight in to competition, you could have a go in the next mid-lancs track and field meeting which is being held at Preston Sports Arena on the 30th of June. If your a member you can just turn up at midday get a number and run whichever event you fancy.
If you want to join a training group, there are seniors who train on a Tuesday night from 6pm onwards at the track at Cottam. I'm not sure exactly when and who organises it, but if you nip down on Tuesday, someone will help you out.
Steve Jackson may pop on the message board in the next couple of days and fill you in a bit more.

Antony, (for I guess it is you..) talk to me on Tuesday if you want, AND if you wish to see how the Mid Lancs works with results, etc go into the PH website and via Track & Field there has been set up a separate entry for Mid Lancs. Just to let you know at this stage, you don`t pay to pay and you will be given a number when you announce at registration that you want to have a go and compete for Preston Harriers. What`s the idea of the thread being called Z7IZ7H7??
