Well done to all club athletes who competed. Sorry I wasn't there. I note we came first in Mens and Womens competition.
There were many good performances, but I've picked out a few from the junior athletes which are worthy of mention.
Katy Alderson 100m won in 13.6s - equalled Hannah / Amy’s 100m record. She won 200m (28.7s) and LJ with 4.62m equalling her PB from Litherland – can she find another 12cm before end of season to take Hannah Elwiss’ long standing U13 girls' club record??
Darren Evans 33.92m added 5m to his existing PB in discus. Well done Darren! There is more to come - 40m is well within your reach.
Ashley Smith 1.37m u13 girls’ new high jump PB.
Niall McCoy 13.5s U13B 100m (0.3s off his PB) & 27.9 (0.4s improvement on previous PB)
Tom Bradbury shaved another 0.1s of his 100m PB with 12.3
I have also noticed some new names contributing points for the club and well done to those who competed for the first time.
Finally thanks to Dave Bugler for stepping into the breach for me to manage the team for the day.
Cheers
Aidan.

No seniors did any sprints, there were only 2 seniors there. Myself and Mark Hartley. I did long and triple jump and mark did a 1500.

Andy,
I must admit I was wondering how we had managed to field a 4 x 100m senior team and come second to Hyndburn - clearly an error with the results. Did we field a 4 x 100m U17 team with seniors & U17s running together? If so we could be due a couple of extra points because the time is better than Blackburn's U17 team - not that it would make any difference to the final league positions.
Cheers,
Aidan.

Aiden, from what i was aware the relay team was only u 17s, it was eddie, ryan sumner, i think nathan did it aswel and im not sure who the last man was! I know there were no seniors though.
Simeon, to be honest not many seniors go to mid lancs because the competition is a bit lacking in the older age groups! I remember winning the 100m last year in 12.1! I was disgusted! lol. Erm no its just an extra competiton to practice for me really but for the u11s/13s/15s there's some good competition.
Mark is a middle distance runner, a steeplechaser by trade i think.
Will you not be fit to run this season then??

PB's in the 800's for Ashley Smith and Jess McDermott in the 800m. Both these girls have taken close to 20 seconds off their times since the start of the season. They also both had PB's in the 200m
Well done to you both, the hard work you have put in, in training has certainly paid dividends
Good first runs also for new members Lucy and Katie Fisher in the 800's.
I think Nathan Crowe also PB'd in the 1500m, as did Lauren Bugler in the 1500m
