I have had passed to me by Alan Appleby, entry forms for club athletes wishing to take part in the event. An area behind the mae elite athletes will be provided strictly for those club runners taking up entry via this mechanism. In order to qualify for a club athlete time a time criteria must have been met over the past 12 months for the half marathon Men - 1:25 Women - 1:40 This is for 2 guaranteed places for this years race and numbers are limited to 300, so requests will be confirmed on a first come first served basis. Entries are guaranteed but not complimentary Entry requests have to be in quick and by 1st June and Alan has had this form for a week or two...if anyone wants to run this please ring me on 07811-351843 and I`ll get a copy of the form out to you.

Sad to see hardly any Harriers at the Great Manchester Run yesterday. World class field, flat & fats course only half hour from Preston. Where was everyone? I think many of you missed a great chance to revise your PBs

Ste, Yesterday at the Chorley 10 I was asked whether I really wanted the club place for the GNR , as another member was really keen to take it. At the time I had every intention of using the club entry but when I got home yesterday I was informed that I have been entered into the Berlin Marathon as a surprise 40th Birthday present! So if I am successful at getting a place at the GNR can it be transfered?

Have you sent the form off Neil? I've spoken to Steve & he's trying to get your number!

I would guess Neil, that your entry request will be in your name and can suggest the following.... Will get a spare form if possible asap to Steve(?) and so contact can then be made with the organisers to explain that your "entry" would like to be transferred. From Windermere to Berlin, wonder which is the most scenic. I think Steve Mort can already sense your Harrier article on your Berlin experience!

Hi Anne I've spoken to Ste H. Arrangements have been made should I get a club place. Now getting my head round Berlin, a definite error on my behalf running the Chorley 10. Taking a least a week off with some very light SLOW jogs at the most. Regards Neil Mc D

Well, Neil I`m glad you are resting. Your name came up on Tueday at track intervals in hushed tones of reverence to your strength but you will need some rest, otherwise you are very likely to break down and get an injury. Enjoy your break and come back slowly. Take care

Neil have a word with Peter Cruse or Lee Barlow both done Berlin last year. Peter like you ran Windermere & Leyland everyones different after a Marathon. I was very impressed by how strong you looked at Windermere, very well done for a excellent run on a tough course.

I have taken 3 whole days off from running. Feels very strange but I knew after doing Leyland that I needed to rest. I will catch up with the lads from Wesham next time I see them at a race. Again thanks all round

Hi there, just read a few of your messages and I have a place for the GNR if anyone is interested. I cannot take part this year due to injury but have the number, chip etc at my house and would obviously like to give someone else the opportunity to do so. If there is anyone who would like to take part could they contact me either via e-mail , stuarttunney@hotmail.com or mobile 07880750119, thanks Stu
