...or not, in my case! I could hardly walk this morning (after feeling "cramp" in my right foot last night at the track) so decided to pay a visit to RPH. The doctor x-rayed my foot and found a (bad) stress fracture on my third metatarsal. So it looks like I'm going to be out of action for (at least) the next couple of months as I'm now sporting a rather fetching plaster cast up to my knee! If you've not entered Run Preston 10k yet (8th July) send an email to Prestonharriers@Gmail.com and you can have my number.

If you are not running in the events at RUN PRESTON, please offer help as a marshal - Joe Howard is collecting names and made an appeal in the last Harrier. Harriers do receive a donation for doing this so come on down!

Message from Joe Howard - THANK YOU to all those who acted as a marshal.
From someone who was out there, it was fun and enjoyable! From the Old Tram Bridge we could not believe how many kept swarming over it for the 10k! Well done to all.

Hi all
Took part in my first proper run yesterday (well ok it was the 5K..) and thoroughly enjoyed it! What would be the best way to try & see about joining up with some of the club guys to do some training for road running? I completed in 21:40 so was quite pleased as a beginner!!
Cheers
Andy

Lots of parking available. Access to the track is at the far end of the arena complex. You'll be ok with just your running gear.

Andy -
A few of us are going out for a "easy" 7 ish mile run on Thursday. We will meet at the track at 7pm and set off from the main reception building which is near the 5 a side football cages before you reach the track.
If you fancy joining up with us you will be most welcome.
The group will be a mixed ability group moving at a not too fast pace mainly to accommodate me !
