Marshalls are needed for the race this coming Sunday. Joe asks that you arrive before 9.25am so that your positions can be allocated in plenty of time before the start.

Hi, I just sent off race entry for this weekend, first class. Please can you reply to this thread to confirm receipt of my entry for this weekend, just so I don't make a wasted journey up from kent Also, i'm moving up to the area in January and would like to join the club, can I do this just by completing the online application form?

Andrew -
No problem mate. You can defo run as i have entered and am injured now so at least one place will not be filled so at worst you can get my entry changed over. I will chase this up for you and ensure a membership form is waiting for you with your race number etc. Just keep checking here for updates..........

Andrew,
You will be ok to run this weekend. I will speak to the race organiser and ensure that a number is reserved for you. (if your postal entry has not been received)
Regards joining the club, the online application can be downloaded and sent to the membership secretary.

Congratulations Joe onanother excellently organised race which is a testament to your delegational abilities and to your well trained assistants. Thank you for the gift of a tin of biscuits (altho slightly under protest!) But also thanks Neil for it - I've still got over half left and dont feel the slightest but sick yet! It will honestly be used as a raffle prize at the Rosemere Cancer Foundation Christmas Party for the volunteers who help us raise £500,00 a year to assist the treatment of cancer patients. Cheers Neil! I also want to say that I had loads of people come up to me and say how well they were supported by marshalls - I also noted that a lot of these were from the fell runners section- what does this mean?

Great event yesterday. My wife and I were up from Londontown visiting my in-laws and took advantage of the free childcare that offers to both take part. We really enjoyed it an will certainly look out for other Preston Harriers events to enter on our future trips up. Cheers Dan (Dulwich Runners - London)

I was out marshalling on the course yesterday due to injury and have to say what a good time I had despite that cold and the fact I nearly got run over a couple of times by rude motorists. Having now seen the event from both sides it really does bring into focus what a great job Joe does in sorting all this out. In fact such was the high quality of organisation I was asked to Marshall outside of my local pub only 200 yards from my front door !! This left me with one small complaint, that being the race finished before the pub opened Maybe next year
