23rd July - Wednesday Evening
Hi Everyone - I promise I'm not trying to take over your forum!
There's a lack of 10K track races for the higher level athlete and Tom Cornthwaite has taken it upon himself to organise one at Witton, and has some commitments from several North West athletes to support it.
To make sure we have a decent atmosphere for the 10K athletes, we are also going to run a few supporting races - sort of BMC come Mid Lancs.
Mixed age groups and genders. They will be 1500m / 3000m and perhaps a chance for athletes to run for a time, and enjoy a top quality track race.
The cost is only to cover the track admission fee.
Full details are on the link - please email Tom to confirm an intention to come, and give your age and PB so that we can fix heats accordingly.
Races will start at 7.00pm and I only envisage a couple of 1500m & 1 x 3000m as support to the main event.
We have all key officials sorted, but if anyone is coming along who would like to muck in as track judge or timekeeper, please also let Tom know.
