 As people should know, we`re hosting this one and we really do need help to marshal the event, direct cars to car parking (although signs will be out) and man the finish funnel! Please, please come along if you have the time. Races start at 12.30 and marshals needed from 11.45ish.

Thank you to everbody who turned out to help on the day.. we had a great team setting out the courses from 8am (some were there before the park opened!) We were able to cover every single marshal spot (and a few more besides) and the team also got the club tent up and took it down. We just managed to get the markers and tape in before the rain came.
Everybody who assisted, at course set up, car parking duties, marshalling, funnel handlers, handing out choccy bscuits to the junior finishers (thank you Liam & Jessica and Nichola!) from refereeing to starting did an awesome job and we received a number of comments on our good handling of the day and how well the course was laid out. I couldn`t have done this without all your help from preparation to the day itself and I was immensely proud on the day at the turn out to help. You all did brilliantly! Thank you!

I'd just like to echo Steve's comments. What a great turn out of Harriers who gave up their Saturday to help out at the Cross Country. A successful event which ran like clockwork. Of course this wouldn't have been possible without the planning and superb organisation carried out by Steve J and Alan. Whilst out marshalling the course, many positive comments were given by members of the other participating clubs. |
