Thanks Martin, for it was I that took it, not Bob Shepherd & he was not standing deep in the fog. Hope you`re well and enjoyed Keswick yesterday - we all had a good day

What time did u do??? We need to search the Preston mini bus for drugs!! I thought I'd ran well, but then i saw a hoard of PH runners - you included? (I did 68 I think) Deffo Sweeno & Alan A well in front.
Hope your injured runner is ok & its not 2 serious. Where did u go for a beer? Our lot went to the Bank Tavern - £11 odd for 4 drinks & one was an orange! But thats the Lakes I suppose?

Yes, me included. 70.26 for me, lost it a bit on the hills and was trying to get under last years best on the course of 69.59. We had a good day out though and like you all we thought the course was great, toigh one though. Results are on keswick-ac.org Just posted on WRR site... we eventually went to the Mill Inn @ Mungrisdale. A good real ale pub (so it`s ok to mention this on fell message board, I think!! and it fits with Sarahs thread as she was with us too!) We were going to the Bank Tavern, that was my first choice but we decided Steve Young (injured runner) couldn`t walk that far - and he agreed! We got turned back by a road closure through the Lakes as we were going to stop nr Grasmere and went back thru St Johns in the Vale to the A66. Pub was good, not too far off the 66 and well worth a visit - I know it from hillwalking. If you do the race next year, we`ll remind you and you can join us there! More than welcome. Continuing on Sarahs thread.. she drove us home in expert fashion and she`s available for signing that pic in the fellrunner mag!
