It was a perfect day for the Race. Well done to Joe Howard & his team of helpers for putting on such a good activity. Has anyone compiled a report for Val the Gal to send to Lancs Evening Post? It seems that the main club in this area, according to the LEP is Wesham, followed by Blackpool. LEP don't seem to know that there is an Athletic Club in Preston. They will say it's because we don't tell them. A report must be at LEP by Tuesday for publishing on the following Saturday. Is anyone doing one?

What I said at the beginning of this thread applies to this year too. We will need a report. Can we confirm that there will be one in time for LEP? Is Adam doing the race? Can we persuade Helen to do it?

I've heard that Helen is going to China on the day of the race! So unless she fancies a flying start it is unlikely that she will participate.

I think that those posting on here are all too ashamed to be associated with the revelations on the other Preston 10 one -so they are hiding behind in this one, rather than address the issue

Sweeney, I don't think anyone is hiding. Rick might be merging if he gets the chance. It probably is my fault cos we have two threads with the same name. The Preston 10 is organised by Joe Howard, I doubt if he is Sexist, Marie his wife thinks he's sexy, but that's about the nearest you'll get.......... Martin, the clock is working to West Coast America time. However if you join up as a member, you can then have the clock adjusted to your own time. The Geography Teacher........... I know! my excuse is that it says Chiba Ekiden. & b is next to n on the keyboard....... But the bottom line is that true, Helen can't run the race. It's up to you Sweeney, or you htc, get your racing shoes out, if you break 58 mins I'll give you a special prize. & finally (thank goodness they all say) does anyone have an answer to Neil Swindlehurst above? (1988 results)

I have set the board time to GMT.
Edit: I have also made htc's thread a "sticky" which hopefully will mean that it's read before this one. Merging the threads would have involved a lot of Cutting and Pasting and the posts wouldn't have been in chronological order in any case.
